Episode Notes

The 2026 NBA Draft class entered the league with plenty of hype, and through the opening week of the regular season, several rookies are already showing why expectations were so high.

In NBA Draft Junkies Rookie Report Vol. 10, Rafael and James Barlowe break down some of the biggest rookie performances of the weekend, starting with Caleb Wilson's monster outing against the Washington Wizards.

Wilson erupted for 30 points, 14 rebounds and three combined steals and blocks, delivering one of the most impressive performances of the young season.

The conversation then shifts to Cameron Boozer, who continues to make his presence felt for the undefeated Memphis Grizzlies. Boozer finished with 25 points, 13 rebounds and six assists against Golden State, showcasing the versatility and basketball IQ that made him one of the most highly regarded prospects in the 2026 NBA Draft.

Golden State's Yaxel Lendeborg also put together an impressive weekend, recording 18 points, 13 rebounds and six assists against Memphis before following that performance with 26 points, nine rebounds and five assists against Phoenix. The brothers examine Lendeborg's early impact and how his versatile skill set is translating to the NBA.

Meanwhile, Darius Acuff bounced back from a difficult debut with a 33-point performance against Portland. But despite the impressive scoring total, questions remain about his shot selection and offensive approach. Rafael and James discuss the debate surrounding Acuff's scoring mentality and how to evaluate a young guard who isn't afraid to take difficult shots.

The episode also highlights two rookies who may not be receiving the same attention as the lottery picks.

Denver's Trevon Brazile is beginning to look like a potential second-round steal after contributing 17 points and nine rebounds in the Nuggets' historic comeback victory over New Orleans. Dallas rookie Sergio De Larrea also turned heads with a 21-point performance, adding another name to the growing list of first-year players making an early impact.
